EasyScan is Syslor’s photogrammetric as-built survey application. It allows you to film an open trench with a smartphone or tablet, then automatically generate a georeferenced 3D point cloud and/or a usable orthophoto to produce an as-built survey plan with centimetre accuracy.
EasyScan is designed for teams involved in capturing and using field surveys, from the construction site to the office. The application allows field operators to easily capture video footage from a smartphone or tablet by simply following the instructions displayed on the screen. No special technical skills are required to use it.
The photogrammetric surveys generated can then be used by surveyors and design offices without the need to travel to the field.
EasyScan thus facilitates collaboration between the field and the office by separating the data capture phase from its use, while ensuring the continuity and reliability of the information produced.
The principle is simple: The operator films the open trench using the EasyScan application.
The video is processed using photogrammetry to generate:
- a georeferenced 3D point cloud,
- an orthophoto.
These deliverables are accessible on the Syslor portal, via EasyMap, for:
- tracing networks,
- creating profiles,
- producing the as-built plan,
- exporting to your usual tools.
Syslor designs its solutions with the support of an in-house team of surveyors who are directly involved in the design of the tools.

EasyMap is Syslor’s module for drawing and using photogrammetric deliverables.
Accessible from the Syslor web portal, it allows orthophotos and point clouds from EasyScan to be transformed into usable as-built plans, with profiles, measurements, volumes and GIS/CAD exports. EasyMap is the building block that links field capture (EasyScan) to the final plan (as-built, profiles, regulatory exports). EasyMap allows you to:
- trace networks,
- check altimetry,
- concatenate surveys,
- produce deliverables (DXF, CSV, and customised formats).
EasyMap is designed for surveyors, design offices and project managers who use data collected with our EasyScan application to produce compliant as-built plans.
EasyMap is designed to utilise the deliverables from EasyScan.
EasyMap allows you to:
- vectorise networks on orthophotos or point clouds,
- visualise longitudinal and cross-sectional profiles,
- measure areas, lengths and volumes (cubic measurements),
- concatenate several surveys for an overview,
- display your own CAD catalogue,
- export to DXF, CSV formats.
Using orthophotos and/or point clouds:
- users trace networks (cables, pipes, ducts, etc.),
- assign attributes (type, diameter, material, etc.),
- and use 2.5D or 3D views to check geometric consistency.
The vectorised networks can then be exported to your GIS/CAD tools.
EasyMap offers a dual view:
- a 2.5D orthophoto view to keep the layout simple,
- a 3D point cloud view to check altimetry and diameters.
Users can:
- draw on the orthophoto while checking the layout in 3D,
- modify a point in the point cloud and see the impact on the orthophoto.
This dual view greatly improves the accuracy of the verification process.
Concatenation allows several orthophotos/point clouds to be assembled into:
- a unified and consistent view of the site,
- with topological and altimetric continuity.
In practical terms, this allows you to:
- obtain an overview of the project (linear construction sites, large sites),
- avoid breaks and duplicates,
- produce a single export of the plan, ready for GIS/CAD.
EasyMap allows you to perform various types of measurements directly from a georeferenced 3D point cloud, obtained in particular from captures made with the EasyScan application.
The main measurements available include:
- linear distances (lengths, network lines, rights-of-way),
- areas (zones, platforms, construction sites),
- volumes and cubic measurements (earthworks, excavations/backfills),
- specific altitudes,
- level differences and altimetric checks.
Thanks to the centimetre-level accuracy of the data from EasyScan, EasyMap provides reliable and usable results directly from field surveys, without the need for re-entry.
These features facilitate the inspection of structures, the monitoring of construction progress and the production of measurable data for as-built plans.
EasyMap allows you to calculate earthwork volumes and cubatures directly from a georeferenced 3D point cloud, based on field surveys.
In concrete terms, EasyMap allows you to:
- quickly assess excavation and backfill volumes,
- calculate atypical depths,
- check altimetry and profiles,
- monitor the progress of works.
Thanks to the centimetre-level accuracy of the surveys, the volume calculations performed in EasyMap are based on reliable data, reducing approximations, re-entries and discrepancies between the terrain and studies.
Supported export formats include:
- formats compliant with RecoStaR and PGOC standards,
- standard DXF and CSV formats,
- custom formats (on quotation)
These formats are compatible with commonly used GIS and CAD tools. This compatibility ensures seamless integration of EasyMap data into existing production chains, from field surveys to final deliverables (as-built plans, asset GIS, technical files).

By default, your data is retained for a period of 10 years.
GNSS RTK positioning relies on receiving satellite signals corrected in real time to achieve centimetre-level accuracy.
A GNSS/GPS receiver picks up signals from satellite constellations, while an RTK network provides corrections to compensate for errors and greatly improve positioning accuracy in the field.
For a detailed explanation of the principles of GNSS and RTK, please see our dedicated article:
Understanding the fundamentals of GNSS.
The photogrammetry used by Syslor is based on video recordings made directly in the field using the EasyScan application on a smartphone or tablet. These videos are then processed to generate orthophotos and 3D models, which can be used in the Syslor portal for data visualisation and vectorisation.
For more information on this subject, see our dedicated article:
Photogrammetry: principles, methods and use cases.
Augmented reality applied to underground networks consists of superimposing network data onto the image of the terrain in real time. It allows the position of networks to be visualised directly on site, without reopening trenches, via a smartphone or tablet, in order to make operations safer, limit the risk of damage and facilitate understanding of the subsoil.
Orthophotos and point clouds are generated using photogrammetry from video recordings made with the EasyScan application. The user simply films the open trench with a smartphone or tablet. The video is then processed to produce a georeferenced 3D point cloud and a usable orthophoto, which can be accessed directly in the Syslor environment for viewing, tracing and exporting data.
Centimetre accuracy can be achieved in photogrammetric surveys carried out with EasyScan, subject to the use of ground control points.
The solution is based on:
- EasyScan photogrammetric capture,
- GNSS positioning,
integration of control points, - and processing carried out according to controlled protocols.
